My original case had a tear in one corner had to look for another one, found this one and couldn't be happier. It's beautiful, fits Perfect but the top isn't flush with the bottom I don't mind because when I'm not using it I keep it in a protective padded case made specifically for my tight fitting device I love this particular design and the faux leather coating.The bottom has a rubberized matte finish and prevents my machine from slipping off a smooth surface.You just need to make sure you connect the top and bottom securely when you feel/hear a click that you're done I attached the bottom of my MacAir by placing it on the bottom of the case first and then snapping the top in place by pressing firmly on each Be press firmly, connecting the top of the device and the cover together. I am ordering another one as a backup co ADI. Highly recommended. And the keyboard cover fits perfectly, unlike some that have a limited border that makes typing difficult.
