A mother with Alz's disease and poor balance makes it difficult for her to get up or just lean forward and fall off a chair. For example, back zippers work better than cross zippers. We have used PPL in hosp with ALZ/dementia cannot sit still and unfortunately becomes very prone to falls and it really helps, mum has been fine for a while but as ALZ progresses she wobbles and is not to be trusted not to get out on her own , since they have no balance, my mother left and suddenly goes backwards and she herself will fall if I don't hold her
