This is one of the cheapest scroll wheel trackballs available online, which isn't bad, but Kensington could use some improvement. I've had mine for almost a year now and use it every day at work. In typical right-handed use, the index and middle fingers are on the ball, the ring finger controls the scroll wheel, and the thumb and pinky control the left and right mouse buttons. I've used my trackball so much that my right mouse button has a smooth/polished speck from my thumb. I wish the buttons were softer as they tend to wear down the padding on my thumb at the end of the day. The scroll wheel is also decent, but ring finger strain is common and excessive. The trackball collects too much dirt in the wheel area (shown in the pictures) so it slows down movement significantly in just a few days. Debris is easily removed from critical ball movement spots, but cleaning the entire seating area is nearly impossible due to the many grooves that encourage debris accumulation. Dirt also finds its way into the cracks on the outside of the device, but it usually cleans up nicely with the edge of a business card. The trackball doesn't require any software to work, which is a nice touch, and it doesn't have any buttons other than the middle mouse button. Overall, the trackball isn't bad, but a sturdier construction with fewer grooves and softer buttons would be better.
