First of all I should note that this is NOT a 'small' fan as stated in the description. The model number refers to the actual size of the "HF715" fan, with the 15 in the model number representing the fan size, which in this case is 15 inches. There's also a 10-inch version if you prefer that size. As for the fan itself, all I can say is wow, this thing puts tons of air out. It has three speeds, oscillates, has a built in sleep timer and even has a remote control. What more can you ask for? No, it doesn't have a fancy HEPA filter or other tricky features, but you wouldn't be reading this review if that's what you wanted to do. from the front of the fan at a 45 degree angle to the airflow. I did this because I didn't want the airflow through my phone's speaker to create unwanted noise. Here's what I measured: Fan off - 31dBFan low - 46dBFan medium - 51dBFan high - 56dB One thing I noticed is that the fan not only blows out a very good volume of air, it actually projects air quite a distance. I placed a fan on one side of my living room and felt it very well on the opposite side of the room which is 30 feet from me. Even at low speed I felt a pleasantly light breeze. At high speed, airflow at 30 feet is similar to low speed when you're standing directly in front of it. There is also a built-in sleep timer. You can choose between 1 hour, 2 hours and 4 hours and the fan will turn off automatically for you. A small but very nice feature that isn't mentioned anywhere is that there is a 2.5 amp 125v replaceable fuse in the power cord which reminds me of Christmas tree lantern fuses and is a very good safety feature. Overall this is a very good fan and I highly recommend it. The 15 inch size of this fan is perfect for a pedestal fan in my opinion. The large blade size can move a really good amount of air without screaming at you like the smaller ones.
