I've been wearing the same style toms almost all the time for about 4 years now. I took them to try something different as the toms seem to have durability issues (the outsole and upper wear out pretty quickly). They're ok - I've had them for about 7 months and they're definitely not as comfortable as Tom's. They also perform very poorly in the wet (like Tom). The reason I won't buy them again is because the durability turns out to be worse than Tom's. Despite the good rubber soles, they had already detached themselves from the "rope" section above them. The top of the tarp also came loose from the bottom of the "rope" in two places because the seams were torn. I still wear them to work but when I get home I put on my old toms.
