The whole point of this was to have a dedicated LEGAL sized tray and that was exactly what was recommended. So far I haven't been able to get the printer to work on a MAC where it pulls LEGAL from the main tray and LETTER from the main tray (since that doesn't work). We managed to program the windows to work. IDK why MAC can't figure out if the correct page is going to the correct tray when printing a document that contains both Legal and Letter. I suspect the driver is poorly written. When I bought the printer from Office Depot, the manager said that adding a tray would take care of us. Well, that's half done. Build quality is the same as a printer, which is generally inferior, but the printer works well and gets the job done. They used to voluntarily take HP with two trays that required a printer cable, but this thing worked for YEARS. Both are laser printers. Over the years I have owned 3 laser and 5 or 6 inkjet printers and have used countless professional machines in my work.
