Bought for myself (adult). I'm 5ft 2in, 114lbs. Size XL fits exactly as I had hoped. For me it's the middle of the thigh, it's never tight or baggy. Children's clothing can be difficult to measure as the cut is very different from women's. Cloth. For this particular item, it doesn't matter as it doesn't have to be a specific shape. The quality of the fabric and fittings seems excellent so far. I like having elastic bands on either side of the waist instead of a few buttons. .Overall: great article
