I have tried many vegetable storage products over the years (Hutzler, Oxo, Farberwear and others) and this is by far the best. They seal very well and are easy to open (I need this because of my severe Rheumatoid Arthritis). They stretch well enough that I don't have to cut veggies in half like other brands. An onion pod is big enough for grapefruit and I also use a tomato pod for apples. (I only add 2 tablespoons of water so it lasts a few days). As for the avocado, it turns black when the fetus' cells are exposed to oxygen. To make them last longer, I always add a bit of lemon from the top of half an avocado. Ascorbic acid and a low pH protect it.
