It was exactly what I needed and actually more durable than expected. As for transparency, I only noticed that after removing the brown adhesive film, there were some residues (but you really had to look for them by holding them up to the light) from the adhesive tape. You can probably clean it with Windex or a similar cleaner if your display has smudges or residue on the stands. I didn't have to either as you don't even see the stand on my display as I used it for dolls with large dresses that hide any plastic from one row to the next.
