How difficult it is to buy some things online! You would think that if you bought a 2 1/4" hose connector it would fit INSIDE the hose - I mean the description says "a threaded end" which to me means it screws into the hose. But no dude, the ID of the fitting was slightly smaller than the OD of my hose, which as far as I can tell is a standard 2 1/4" dust collection hose. end of the connector and secure it with a clip but what a pain. Nothing beats a simple description of DYI in an online catalog. I suggest that you read very carefully before buying dust collectors and be sure of what you are getting. I just succumbed to the frustration of searching and was a little compulsive to buy.
