If you are between sizes, reduce the size.

When the vest first arrived I was delighted as it seemed to match all the items I was looking for. Lightweight (really amazingly lightweight), soft, non-chafing material, lots of different pocket/storage options, a handy place for a phone, the option to use a hydration pack or bottles, and lots of adjustments for a perfect fit. I went by the size chart and ended up between XXS and XS so I rounded up and ordered XS. There was an error. No matter how much I synced the straps, they were too big around the chest. I called Nathan Sports to see if I had made a mistake with the settings and they confirmed I should have ordered the XXS and arranged a refund/replacement. Excellent customer service! A new bag arrived yesterday and I walked with it - great! Another thing I want to mention is that this vest comes with an insulated bladder (not a regular bladder) and this insulation will cost you 0.4 liter capacity. I found the insulation didn't really cool the water during this run (32 degree day) but I'll try freezing some water in it the night before on my next run to see if that helps. I can just replace the bladder with a standard 2 liter bladder if it really isn't keeping the water cool.

Pros
  • FIT - The vest is a snug fit and the overall size tends to run slightly smaller, so it is recommended that anyone of a higher level should go one size up in this size!
