Grant 502 Review: Spare Parts

Grant 502 offers good value for money. It's a good size and depth for a classic muscle car and looks like a classic hot rod handlebar. The chrome on the front of the spokes is beautiful. In contrast, the back of the chrome-plated spokes have solid grinding marks covering the surface, and the edges of the spokes look like they've been stamped with matte stamps. The rim isn't foam, but it's also not "glossy" vinyl like old Covico, Superior, or Grant wheels. It's a smooth rubbery material. It offers a comfortable grip and feels a bit sticky like an old camera even when clean. It would be much more desirable if a glossy vinyl handle was advertised. For a cheap item it performs well but can't compete with a comparable Mooneyes bike. They cost more than twice as much but are finished in bright chrome on both sides and have a glossy exhibition quality vinyl rim.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly dented
