Review on Delta Essa Matte Black Bar Faucet with Pull Down Sprayer - Single Hole, Wet Bar and Prep Sink Faucet, Kitchen Faucet in Matte Black Finish - Model 9913-BL-DST by Brian Healy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The size is right, doesn't run out.

Started with one of the $60 solid stainless steel kitchen faucets. Very good. Connection to any thread in the world with the correct power line adapter of both fittings leaking. At $200, this Delta is almost four times the price, so much for appreciation. Walked through the HD and looked at the cranes. Mid-range (but not cheap) branded kitchen faucets were disappointingly weak. I've had great luck with Delta products on my recent renovation. This Delta appears to be quite solid, the valve body is all metal, the description says brass. The mouthpiece and atomizer are pretty light, welcome to the real world of throwaway consumption. Not as good as the $60 one, but way better than any of those more expensive faucets seen on HD. Installation was easy, Delta is good at providing smart tools. The PEX utility lines are long enough to connect to my plumbing line in a gentle curve through the floor and brought back my extension lines which I needed for the $60. The flow control valve only turns 90 degrees, cold - straight up, hot - 90 degrees, meaning the valve handle and a dirty, wet hand won't hit the back wall when turning, as it did when turning either way. $60 each. . The retractable weight doesn't pinch the spray line, it slides; The atomizer line does not retract by itself after being pulled out, it needs to be pushed. Bow. I replaced a typical 36" kitchen sink with two small sinks with a (smaller) sink with one large sink. The $60 faucet looked huge but the sink looked small. This delta is the perfect size.
