Marked all my boxes

Before I found this HP, I chose another brand. I won't go into detail but it arrived damaged. It was also significantly more expensive than I originally planned to spend, so I took that as a sign to see what else was out there. I had a pretty exhaustive list of requirements. I switch MacBook Pro and PC for work. The ease of switching between video/audio and USB inputs was key. I also wanted something to connect my Nintendo Switch to, so speakers were a must. This HP display ticked all of my boxes including the budget. selects the active device itself, or you can select input/output via the OSD menu. Another review stated that this feature "doesn't exist" but I disagree with that. The device change happens organically for me without any action on my part. It also powers my MacBook Pro via USB-C, which is what I had. The large resolution isn't ideal for the Nintendo Switch, but you can use the OSD to select something more appropriate for that input if you'd like. The display is large and easily adjustable, including height with the included stand. The sound is ok. no theatrical quality at all for most things, but will do for what i use in most cases. As with all displays, the OSD is inconveniently controlled by a series of buttons tucked away on the right side of the display's rear panel. , but once everything is set up I don't expect to need to use it often. I haven't seen any better designs from other brands either, so it's pretty standard. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.
