I was attracted by the color display and metal body and features. I need an AVR/VOX recorder with some spare time and storage space. Although it's not a stereo voice recorder, it excels in its capabilities. Haven't tested the noise cancellation yet, it may not matter to my use, but the AVR does. It seems very useful, does not freeze for a long time and therefore does not require post-shot trimming. When I opened the box and took the device out, it was obvious from its weight that this wasn't a cheap flimsy device. Solid weight and feel for such a small device. I believe it will withstand the rigors of use if that's an issue. The tactile feedback from the controls is very pleasant. The clicks are crisp, not soft. Quickly connects to my Mac laptop and receives music files in the music folder. I assume this also applies to the Voice folder. The main difference is in playback, whether you're looking for voice or music recordings. File transfer was a simple drag and drop, albeit a bit slow. Tip: Don't turn off the device or unplug the cable until you've removed it from your Mac. Not a problem, but the Mac has me picky about the device not turning off properly. I expect this easy to use quality device will last a long time. If you need stereo, keep looking. If you're looking for a reliable, versatile mono recorder, you will likely be happy with your purchase.
