When my wife and I switched from plastic to bamboo, we were finally able to grow our hair longer than ever before (no kidding!) My hair is thick, coarse and frizzy; My wife is fine, fat and straight. I will NEVER go back to plastic, this is my 3rd comb from this company - I buy a new one every 3-4 years. I also use a bamboo bristle brush from this company - same excellent results. In fact, you should switch; especially if you want to grow your hair out. I can't explain why (other than how toxic is the plastic?), but it works!
