The stools arrived yesterday and were better than expected. Please note the metal is rust free and not chrome plated. The thickness of the steel is approximately 3/8 inch at the thinnest dimension around the spine. There are no plastic parts. The skin is radiantly white and comfortable. The base has a very heavy steel core that makes it heavier and ensures the stability of the chair. The telescopic gas lift column is attached to the base with three thick screws. It is then attached to the chair base with 4 screws. It's easy to put together, but the base can be a bit difficult to unpack and handle at first.
