Surprisingly good at any price

So the color surprised me more than pleasantly! Reviews of Faaal Hibiscus were few, and most pointed out a few minor flaws. There were also differences in the frequency response graphs that I could find. So I was a bit hesitant to order them. But what I also found indicated a relatively balanced sound with an above-average soundstage. And it was fascinating. It also seemed to match my preference for the signature reference type, with tight sub-bass, slightly front-loaded mids, and detailed highs. So for under $50 I decided to take a chance and buy them. After 30+ hours of firing (which helped bring out the bass a little), I can tell you that I'm delighted with the performance and the excellent sound quality. . Without an equalizer, the sound seems really balanced to me. I've listened to them on a Schiit Magni/Modi stack, Fiio Q1 MK2 and Earstudio ES100 with the same excellent results. What really surprised me was the sense of presence in the music. The combination of natural tonality, high tactility with deep bass and bass (even at low volumes), mids that don't roll forward or back, amazingly fast transients, and excellent reverb/resonance feedback at high frequencies make them remarkable. listen to all kinds of music. The bass is strong, fast and perhaps slightly boosted, with a good feeling of pressure (clapping) even when the volume is not turned up. This is especially true in sub-bass, where the hum might not be loud, but it can still be felt. The mids are precise with very little noticeable bleeding. Instruments and vocals sound more analog and warmer compared to some of the more expensive balanced armature headphones I own. The mids fit perfectly into the overall mix with above-average separation and detail. Highly airy and detailed. Rolls a little, never harsh but maintains a very good level of detail. I love, love, love the sound stage. Above average to my ears. There is a very good sense of space and separation. The tool position can easily be determined from left to right. I've found that I really enjoy listening to songs that mix the left and right channels aggressively. I hear better and understand the position of the toms on the drum roll better. Sound depth and height are good but probably average for this price range. In several tests from A to B with other headphones, I can clearly hear the echo and reverberation, which gives them a wonderful sense of space. The structure is simply outstanding. Metal shells appear heavy and solid. And the cable is one of the best you'll find in IEMs under $500. They're also very comfortable for extended listening and come with a modest amount of silicone tips to fit most ears. There is no casing in the no-frills box as the focus seems to be on the IEM rather than the accessories. All in all, that's a ridiculous price for headphones under $50. To me they compare well to the JVC+Drop HA FDX1 which has a very similar character and natural tone. They also sound a lot better than the more expensive FIIO FD1s in terms of signature, tonality and soundstage. If you're looking for a natural-sounding, immersive IEM, I highly recommend trying it out. I found them much better than what a few online reviews would suggest.
