Not that used to it but today it just didn't turn on. I took it apart and found nothing that was disconnected or obviously broken. I'm pretty sure it was just the display failing because the battery was warm. BTW, if you ever try to take one apart, there's a screw in the battery compartment under the control sticker. You can't see it until you remove the sticker.

I should have read the questions on this page first but was disappointed to see that no power supply came with it. I understand it runs on batteries and isn't needed, but I figure if it has connectivity, why not take it with you? I don't think it's about skimping on price. Like other similar scales, they don't work well with a single digit gram weight. I tested this pencil with two pencils: together they weigh 12 grams, the heaviest being 8 grams.
