I bought this scale to weigh packages of items I sell on Ebay. I can print out a shipping label at home and simply hand the package in at the post office without having to queue. All the packages I ship weigh only a pound or two, so this scale is perfect for that. It's relatively compact, gives very clear readings, and can work with a variety of units. I sent my first package today with a label I printed out at home. This is the first one, I had it weighed in the mail to make sure my scale was on track. It did, but to be sure I added 1 ounce before printing the label. the scale readings to ensure the postage stated on the label is sufficient. My only "complaint" is that it would be nearly impossible to calibrate these scales when needed. Why? The instructions say to put 25 pounds. Weight in the center of the scale for calibration. Now who the heck has the exact 25 pound weight to fit on this scale?! Ridiculous. Luckily, as I said, mine is accurate and doesn't need to be calibrated. Finally, the price is reasonable. He will do what I need. Battery operated, no AC adapter but not required as often as I will be using it.
