Tried ASMedia (ASM1142) 3.1 USB-C port, AMD (X470 Ryzen) 3.0 USB-A ports via adapter, front and rear USB ports, both Alignments and both ends of the computer and Quest 2; Nothing worked. In Windows 10 nothing is recognized at all and Linux reports that the USB controller needs to be restarted or there are power issues before the device can be connected. My motherboard is ASUS PRIME X470-PRO. When I connect an external USB-C hard drive to this cable, sometimes it works. And when I use an unplugged cable from my Quest 2 to my computer with one of my USB ports, it works. So this cable just doesn't seem to work with the Quest 2. Otherwise it's a beautiful cable. It's smooth and thin.
