We just received ours two days ago. We tested it at home with a pillow as instructed, put it in a kennel and she loves it! Seems to work great quality. I built the kennel to fit under the R15 foam sheet paneling as the insulation is warm to the touch inside her house. Now she spends a lot of time in her house and can still do her job of guarding the house and yard. We live in a village and we also have free range chickens which protects them from predators. So I'm happy to make her life a little easier, to show her the love she has for us. It's a hard plastic, not very flexible, so keep that in mind. The cable is protected by a steel coil up to the plug. The fleece lining is elastic at the corners, like a fitted sheet. Our dog chews things but I don't think that would be a problem given the way it is made. She has chewed on dog litter in the past but this one is flat and she just seems to want to lie on it (of course she's comfortable in cold weather. I highly recommend this for your pet at the moment. She's a red healer and she sheds too much to get in and also rips things up around the house now I feel good with her outside she also barks and warns when people show up that's her job too so if she comes out it's a win-win and happy!
