Some of the main units which are more like small IMO baby devices may vary in quality from model to model. models, and the quality and accuracy of each device seems to vary. The Bally/Park Avenue units seem to be the worst as they are very difficult to get counting steps and once you teach them to count steps they are super sensitive and sometimes count non-existent steps themselves while they are sit on the bedside table / desk. The Sharper Image model I had was fine except the battery holder got damaged when replacing the coin cell which caused it to malfunction and eventually stopped working. Until you drop them on a hard surface, the Ultmost models appear to be the best/most accurate of them all. They actually have the same language chip. The Bally/Park Avenue models' tempo tunes are the most toy-like of the bunch, although others sound similar or like the chimes of a modern ice cream truck. In summary, I would say that the most advanced models of these heart-shaped devices that have existed are the best/most accurate of all. Much luck.
