My device is connected to a 2018 Macbook Pro. I'm trying to use the HDMI output to drive an Acer 4K monitor. "Try it outβ is the keyword here. Even though my laptop recognizes that it's connected to a 4K monitor, the actual video output to the monitor works intermittently. (Although in reality it's 60Hz as advertised.) It usually requires plugging and plugging cables to make it work, until I get lucky. Still, it rarely works. I have tried multiple cables between the device, laptop and monitor. Vain. I will return mine.
