Workhorse! Not a Mustang, not a Falabella. Just a strong, confident and reliable lens "for almost everything" for every day. It will cope with everything that you put on it at the level of “good-excellent” or “good enough”. You can complain about too high a price with not the highest aperture for this focal length. But why all this if it's Zeiss? The price is fully justified by the quality of optics, electronics and materials. 1.8 is quite enough for most conditions, especially with the capabilities of Sony's matrices. Shooting ceremonies in a church is my best use of it. From the first to the last frame - on it! Lightning-fast focus, a sufficiently high aperture (but so that there is also enough space in focus) and convenient (“to portrait, but still wide enough”) focal length allow you to beautifully report with people in the frame in low light conditions. An excellent and self-sufficient camera for those who shoot more portraits than architecture. This glass gives you the confidence that you can technically cope with shooting in any conditions. The lens is reliable and will not let you down! It is so unconditional in its reliability that it is even a little boring for me! If you have a large fleet of optics, you can get lazy and shoot only on it. Not rock and roll, in short! Such a school "correct" excellent student: he will do everything "as it should", but it's boring to live with him :)
