All the connections were snap on so I was happy with that

Bought this product for my 1999 BMW 328i E46 Sedan. The installation took about 2-3 hours because I was taking my time, wanting to get it right. All connections were clip-on so I was happy with that. Some downsides were that the ground wire with a metal washer to connect to the car's main ground nut was too small, so I had to cut it off and buy a new washer from the hardware store. Also had the same problem with the positive cable to the battery post, had to replace the metal washer with a larger one so it slides over the screw. Other E46 customers may not have an issue with this either, but my E46's firewall doesn't have a foam hole to connect the blue lock/unlock activation to the passenger footwell lights. I had to go through another rubber grommet on the left and the wire can barely get through. I don't know why the manufacturer of this product doesn't provide an extra foot or two of wire, that would make life so much easier. Anyway, because the little cheap blue plugs to connect to the extra cable/footlight are so cheap I messed up one of them after trying to connect, so I don't have the fade in/out remote control that I so wanted . Aside from these disadvantages, there are also advantages as the LEDs are bright and never flicker or fade, nothing. I turn the key to the accessory position, they light up, I start the car, they stay on even when I turn on the regular halogen lights. After I turn off the car and remove the key, it burns for 8-10 seconds and goes out. When I looked at this product, the picture looked more bluish, but actually they were very white. I would give this product fewer stars but it gets the job done if you make small tweaks yourself and are able to hook up the right cables. I've had them for a few months now with no problems.
