This has whitened and brightened my silver hair. So I like it. A lot. It does smell funny and doesn't create a luxurious lather, and just as everyone here has pointed out it's runny, but it definitely works better to keep the yellows out of my silvers than any other of the "purple" shampoos that I've tried. Here's how I use it: I transfer it into a travel size spray bottle. Then I put a small amount of my favorite yummy shampoo in the palm of my hand, squirt several squirts of the phyto into my regular shampoo, and shampoo as usual. Keeps my hair sparkly! And I use very little of it, so it will last a long time.
