I bought this kit specifically because of the HSS support and the fact that it uses a 2.4GHz radio instead of an IR radio. I paired it with Meike MK600C and it works great. HSS also works perfectly on my old Canon XTI. The only thing that didn't stand out when using it was that in order to be able to manually control the settings from the transmitter to the camera, the flash itself had to be set to TTL mode. When the flash is in manual mode, the transmitter cannot change any settings. The 2.4GHz radio is much more reliable than the flash's built-in IR control and you don't have to worry about that the flash stays in line with the camera. I also used the receiver from the second kit to control the smaller Canon 270EXII flash, which worked well too. Placing receivers in two different flash groups works as expected, both are controlled independently by the camera's built-in transmitter and have different power settings. It would be nice if the receivers were sold separately, but at this price I'm just keeping the extra transmitters as spares. both are controlled independently by the camera's built-in transmitter and have different power settings.
