I started using them years ago and then they kind of disappeared from my shelf. I don't know what happened, no doubt an important event made me forget her because I really liked her. They are soft on your face and I love it. I love how they clean, how they feel, the squeezing when rinsing, almost like a stress ball, feels good on your eyes. I had no idea it was a root until I looked it up. I thought it was a sea sponge. It's so funny now to see the dirty old root. It would never occur to you that it was the root. Look at the sponge. It's pretty exciting. Although I wouldn't eat it. They say you can lose weight because they gain stomach weight, but I wouldn't do it myself. The sponge lasts a very long time. I moved into my house about 8 years ago and brought them here but never used them all. I can't remember when I bought them at the old place. So it's a mystery, but I know what I found and used was at least 8 years old and didn't fall apart at all. I would use it for a month and then replace it. The one I use has lasted over 8 years. Even though it was in the newspaper. So they last a lot longer than advertised, but for hygiene reasons a month is good. They should break or chip off. I've never had a single scale on me, and I'm squeezing everything to hell. I love stress relief. Works well with my face. I don't have acne and my face has a good complexion. It's very soft and I love how it feels and cleans. Much nicer than a washcloth. I highly recommend these sponges.
