I was surprised that an apple press has many small parts and needs to be assembled (by me) before use. It took about 3 hours to build and involved inserting about 30 screws, counting the parts and sorting them before use. It wasn't a mundane gathering. Additionally, upon receipt, the inner box was opened and the press was missing a large steel rod to allow the press to rotate. Also, the bag of screws and fasteners was opened, and their fragments were scattered throughout the box. I have informed the sender of the missing part of the rod and I assume that he will forward the missing part. Once assembled everything worked very well and we are very happy with the product. It's durable and good value for the money, but I wanted an apple press, not a craft project!
