I'll admit I've only taken this laptop backpack once. Ideally I would put my 17.3" laptop inside, but given the circumstances I took my 16" MacBook Pro with me. Also a 10" tablet in a bulky Otterbox case, a 40 ounce metal bottle partially filled with coffee (it held up surprisingly well in the side mesh pocket and I didn't use anything to hold that large bottle in place, the 16oz bottle a metal water bottle in another mesh pocket, a small notebook, glasses, power cord and mouse.The backpack has kept a beautiful outer shape with these items packed., B. These zippered compartments come in different Sizes, C. Inside the zip compartments in case of need there is a good variety of bags very easy to organize your belongings the bag sits very comfortably on the shoulders and back the above was on the way to work on the way back I easily Tightened a few straps and these adjustments helped a lot: A. Adjusted the length of the shoulder straps and B. Tightened the two straps on either side of the backpack and this secured the 40oz flask and 16oz bottle nicely and very securely. To help other potential buyers being smart I'm giving the bag a 4 due to the bag's extremely short useful life because as good as it looks I can't attest to its durability.
