EDIT: Sometimes I can't use this amp due to unsecured bluetooth. I live on a 1/4 acre lot in a 2200 square foot lot. Feet, but due to unsecured Bluetooth and too strong a signal, my neighbors can accidentally connect to this device from all directions. It cannot be turned off and the amp uses Bluetooth by default. So if someone nearby accidentally selects my amp on their device, their audio will play through my amp and I won't be able to block them - if the amp is disabled. switched on, I have no choice but to listen to their sound. I currently have the amp partially wrapped in aluminum foil which helps, but it's still coming from exposed BT combined with an overly strong (FCC compliant?) signal. This little amp packs an impressive punch, but has a few serious design flaws: 1. Bluetooth: This amp's Bluetooth module is not secure, meaning anyone with a device within range could connect, even accidentally. It also prioritizes Bluetooth over the input jack, and there's no option to disable Bluetooth, meaning the amp becomes unusable if someone nearby connects to your Bluetooth. I had serious problems with other people (neighbors, visitors and family members in my own house) accidentally connecting to this amplifier because the module is always on and can connect any device within range. IF SOMEONE CONNECTS TO YOUR AMPLIFIER, YOU WILL EFFECTIVELY BE BLOCKED FROM THEM! At the moment this POS is wrapped in aluminum foil to try to prevent signals from reaching the antenna because I was blocked by my own amp! 2. Crossover: The built-in crossover (under-frequency setting) is useless and kills the bass. The crossover frequency isn't adjusted, it's set to around 200Hz and then rolls the slope curve above or below 200Hz. What happens in practice is that below the mid-range it kills low frequencies because those frequencies are effectively clipped , while above the mid-range it boosts frequencies in the 200-300 Hz range, producing oddly boomy mid-bass. Totally useless. Your best bet is to set it to a medium setting and then use external crossovers to get it right. This amp would have been much better without the 'extra' features that weren't designed properly. The amp itself is incredible, very powerful and amazing at its tiny size. I am using two Dayton MK442s and a 10" ported subwoofer and there are no volume issues with these drivers. But bluetooth renders my amp inoperable and the frequency control is rubbish.
