It doesn't work without them!
This is my second purchase. I lost her somewhere in the house; I couldn't wait to find them as I use them with my glasses when there isn't a lighted magnifying glass around so I ordered another pair which arrived 2 days later! When ordering I also ordered a 2nd pair for my husband! I thought 2.5 diopters would be stronger than just 2.50. not strong at all! I need higher magnification for close-up jewelry work. I will be looking for a more durable pair as I need this type to hang around my neck. I agree with other reviewers that the strap is too stiff and should be longer.
