Kohler 2210 is a great replacement for a bathroom sink and is slightly larger than the 2209 sink. Under the countertop (It's easier to clean the countertop if you keep things simple into a sink that doesn't have a head start). The 2210 is just the big brother of the 2209, as the 2210 has a 17" x 14" inner shell (compared to the 15" x 12" of the 2209). Since my master bathroom has a lot of countertop space, choosing a larger sink was an easy choice for me. All I had to do was measure my cabinets to make sure the sink would fit. When deciding between the 2209 and the larger 2210, you'll want to make sure this sink will fit in your cabinet and consider the sink drain. Due to the fact that the sink is in the middle of the cabinet and you have a wall or drawers underneath, it is possible that this sink is too big. In my case it fits with a margin of a few millimeters. It would be a big problem if it didn't fit as the granite installers pre-punched the holes for the sinks and it would be all too easy to get a few millimeters off. I've used the smaller 2209 for two other bathrooms in my house and the sink drains are fine, no clearance issues; I've had really good luck with the 2210 but I'm glad I have bigger sinks. These are powerful, heavy grenades. I had no trouble attaching and finishing the sinks. The installation by the granite craftsmen went smoothly and I had the plumber reconnect the drains to the fittings under the sink with no problem, but he and I found that they barely fit due to the placement of the drain in the vanity. . So I would definitely be very careful with that if I was replacing an existing system. Otherwise - definitely a quality 5 star case. Works as expected and as high quality as expected.
