I've tried many of these adapters. It has good contacts. There is no crackling that can sometimes occur when this type of adapter is moved or rotated in its port. Audio levels are the same with or without an adapter, indicating high-quality cables are used. The microphone in my headsets works fine through this adapter, which means it's a true 4-pin to 4-pin adapter. The build is good and doesn't show any of the common build flaws that this type of adapter can often have. This is a great little rectangular stereo headset with mic adapter. Exactly what I needed.
