The motion detector only works occasionally. I tried to wave my hand forward and dance. lol nothing seems to turn this thing on until I leave then it decides to turn on for 10 seconds. I walk past him to do what I originally wanted to do and he passes out again. Disappointing otherwise the light shines brightly when turned on. Updated 3/27/20: Increased rating from 2 to 4 stars. It has been found that the motion detection issue is not really related to motion detection. The problem was that the rest of my bathroom was too bright so the day/night auto on/off thought it was day all the time and wouldn't turn the light on even when I moved. Removed the light from the shower stall and found that it works when the room is in fact completely dark. So the light is not working as I was looking for. But it works as it should.
