When my old blue plastic CarbaCap started leaking from a tiny crack, I was pleasantly surprised to find metal versions of the SS are now available at a price close to the original plastic version lies. Curious if there is a difference between similar versions in Revain and I bought both a Ferroday pack and two MrBrew packs. The metal parts are identical, possibly made by the same machine in the same factory in China. The only difference is the number of replacement O-rings. Ferroday includes 5 Small Ball Lock O-Rings and 1 Large Bottle Washer. MrBrew has 8 small o-rings but no washers. This is odd because the washer can fall out and get lost, and the little o-ring will likely last a long time. No brand includes a replacement o-ring for the 5/16 fitting, although it is well protected when screwed in.
