Review on Beadery Holiday Ornament 2-Pack: 2.25 Inch Ornaments for Beading & Jewelry Making by Nicole Mcleod

Good beads, lousy brushes

Yes, these beads are plastic, but nice and shiny. Looks great! A few questions however. First, the base red bead basically has the same hollow part as the hole, so it is very difficult to match it with the rest of the jewelry. Second, the star bead has a top and a bottom. I was halfway through putting them together before figuring out why some stars fit correctly and others don't. You have to look for a hole between a point. The third question concerns pipe cleaners. They are too short to get the required amount of detail. They are also very thin. The end beads fell off because I couldn't get enough curls on the ends. My decision? I took them apart and used very thin green floral wire. I cut twice the recommended length of wire, fold it in half, grab the end and twist, leaving a loop at the end. Then I twisted the wires together just long enough to connect them together (maybe 5 turns). However, if you twist them too tight, they will become too thick to hold the beads. Then assembled according to the instructions. I took the ends of the wire, twisted them one by one and stuck them into the base. I also reshaped the top loop to streamline the bead line. This worked MUCH better and made the ornament stronger. Unfortunately no pictures. Didn't think to take them until the next day. 🙀 You'll get too fat to take the beads. Then assembled according to the instructions. I took the ends of the wire tightly twisted them separately and inserted into the base. I also reshaped the top loop to streamline the bead line. This worked MUCH better and made the ornament stronger. Unfortunately no pictures. Didn't think to take them until the next day. 🙀 You'll get too fat to take the beads.
