I bought one of these G. Liane files earlier this year. While almost $10 for one nail file seems lux and splurgy, it was crazy worth it. And it worked very well for a few months until it got sat on, and broke. I loved how it filed so finely and efficiently, a much different experience from typical emory boards. After losing that file, I ordered a different brand of glass nail file that was cheaper, one of the 4 for $10 sort of deals, and the difference was obvious. The cheaper files were definitely lower quality. The grit was coarser and rubbed off after some use, the files were thicker and simply did not work as well. They were on par with those cheap emory boards. When i lost and/or broke a couple of those and knew I'd need a new glass nail file, i learned from my mistake and went back to buy the G. Liane file again. So glad i did, because a good quality nail file makes a serious difference. When i need a new file, i will continue to biy this brand.
