Bought these to replace my halogen backlight bulbs which fell apart as they were all plastic. These flashlights are durable and made entirely of metal, only the lens is made of plastic. My current holes were 2 1/4 inches in diameter. A previous buyer said he would like to use 2 1/4 holes so I figured they should work. They were a bit big but I used my dremel with a cylindrical sander and was able to enlarge the holes slightly. I used a halogen 12v driver to turn them on but they flickered and we weren't bright. I bought LED drivers and wow what a difference, nice and bright, just as bright as 20 watt halogen bulbs without heat or electricity consumption. The seller must specify the hole size required for the product. Quality light, very happy with the purchase.
