Review on Top-rated Kozyfox Cowhide Leather Gloves: Adjustable design for optimum comfort and style by David Hill

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good leather work gloves, but.

These are very nice leather work gloves. The leather is soft and supple, not stiff, they don't have an unpleasant chemical smell, just a slight "new leather" smell, and the size large (my usual glove size) fits just right. They'll probably work well and be fairly durable, the extra reinforcement plate on the palm which I like increases their durability. so that no dirt gets inside and does not get into your fingers. However, if the previous story is any indication, I'll probably attach it to something and tear it down soon. I move a lot of rocks, logs and other hard objects so I usually use a lot of gloves. I would place them in the middle range of life expectancy. One thing I don't like about them is the way the two middle fingers are laid out, with a seam and a bunch of extra skin around the base where they're sewn. In the photo, this glove is on top and an older glove with a more comfortable design (no extra stitching) is on the bottom. The problem with a seam is that it adds roughness, bulk and chafing at the base of the finger, particularly between the ring and pinky fingers. When handling tools such as shovels, saws, rakes or wheelbarrows, this lump of skin can chafe or blister your fingers and in any case reduces the wearing comfort of gloves. I am deducting two stars for this because although I knew they were made in this style when I ordered them, they are a little rougher than most. They really tie and rub that pesky seam.

Pros
  • Safety work gloves
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
