Review on Impressive IPROVEN BPM-417 - Digital Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor For Home Use - Large Cuff And Heart Rate Monitor - Real-Time BP Reading With Wrist Guide, Movement Sensor, And Backlight by Nathan Tank

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Is this actually accurate?

I am on two blood pressure medications, Toprol-XL 100mg twice a day and Amlodipine and 5mg once a day. This was two hours after having taken both a Toprol-XL and my Amlodipine and reading 220/78. I really don't believe that this $25 wrist BP meter is anywhere accurate. When my BP is that high I get a severe headache and very dizzy. That was not the circumstance that night. I would not bet my life on the readings of this BP monitor. An Omron, Homedics, or a MOCAcare would be a better and safer purchase even at twice the cost.

Pros
  • Perfect for those who prefer a non-invasive way to check blood pressure
Cons
  • May not provide readings in real-time
