I bought this specifically to use as an oil diffuser which I almost never have to refill but although it says you can add oil to water instantly, and not for Example with an oil box that only releases fragrance until the oil dries and this is inefficient or efficient but I didn't really understand the problem with this type of humidifier or diffuser as the water tank is separate from where it is the water is. turns into steam so the water from the tank flows into the bottom pan where it then turns into steam and travels up the pipe in the middle of the tank while the oil stays on top of the water which is why most diffusers have this part , which turns. The water turns into a cloud of smoke or steam, but you see it in the same area as all of the water. So as the steam goes through all the water and out the top of the water it traps some of that oil to then add flavor, so with that label in a certain style you either get some flavor in the beginning because you mix oil with water mixes and then it sinks to the bottom but when it adds water again all the oil is on top and really bad. The thing is that by the time it shuts off because it has no water there is actually some left at the bottom is, but this little float that's adding water has already told it to shut off, and so at the bottom of the tank there's all for water. oil
