I needed a new cable for my work laptop and having to carry the entire setup around all the time makes my back very heavy. So when I picked up my cable (a European cable that also required me to carry an adapter), I took it as a blessing. The first word in my search for a new power cord was "LIGHTWEIGHT/PORTABLE" - this cord fits that description perfectly! didn't even think about going universal until the search results appeared. And then it dawned on me, so precious to rule everything with a string :). And I have a very mixed group: I have a superduper HP Envy 17.3 inch touchscreen (super awesome at max performance), an HP (as basic as a laptop can be), a working HP (ProBook) and a working Fujitsu. Assembled by IT in Belgium (don't know where it is but I think it's closer to the worst laptops in production). If I had read the description better, I would have immediately chosen the right advice for my HP. But I didn't, I used the M22 instead of the M21 which worked for the best and worst HP (didn't feel right for either) and not at all for the middle ones (quality) but the newest the is For my worker" the laptop tip was perfect, fitted like a glove from day one. When I finally got interested and looked into the wattage requirements for HP laptops, I knew immediately that I had the wrong tip. Switched to M21 and voila Fits like a glove loads up like fate for all 3hp did I mention lightness and subtlety I've had it for over 6 months now I don't think it's fair to dwell on it until you get one have history
