Save yourself some time. My wife got a Dell 4790 with a USB-C port at a new job. Cute! I thought it would be easy to connect it to my Thunderbolt 27". Not so fast! I already bought an Apple USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 adapter. It didn't work. The computer threw an unsupported Thunderbolt -Device complained. So I swore by Apple's proprietary approach and I figured I'd have to pay for that more expensive adapter... It didn't work either and gave the same error... this laptop has an almost microscopic logo with a DisplayPort- Icon B. Be a signal DisplayPort and Thunderbolt are not the same...the same
