Literally just a rectangle of cloth
Let me start by saying I really like it. The color is beautiful and I've had compliments on it. I wear it when I'm in the sun and it protects my arms and shoulders from the sun without getting too hot. I also take it on car rides when the sun is shining through the windows. However, it is literally a beach towel-sized rectangle of fabric with a slit running from the center of one of the long sides toward the center. If you have a machine, you can take a suitable piece of fabric and sew up the edges in about 20 minutes. You just have to make sure that the fabric you receive is sunproof.
