RGB colors are very good; one star for the relatively faint red channel (green is the brightest). The warm white channel is quite bright, suitable for reading even in indirect light. Much brighter than when all RGB channels are fully on (which is impractical as the green channel dominates when all are on). There is some confusion about the color temperature of white LEDs - two different strips are sold and all ratings are lumped together. I can't speak for "daylight" LEDs, but the warm white I have is 2700-3000K - quite warm. Interestingly, you can "cool" the white LEDs to daylight temperature by combining some blue (along with a tint of other colors) to set the white LEDs as cool/cool as you like. Power the 12 volt strips, which is a good idea considering how thin the conductors are. Also more efficient for the controller or additional flat wires that need to be sewn together.
