Well, the cat tried to jump on it and take parts from the box. Of course I liked it. When installed, the cat lay on the middle shelf, looked at me with "Wow" and pecked in my mouth. Twice. She usually only does this when I turn on the faucet in the sink to get a drink. The cat had no access to the very high tiled bathroom window. The cat looked there, but didn't dare to jump. You now have access to this window. I plant it in a tree when I take a shower etc. And I always leave the top window slightly open so I can always get some fresh air. I removed the bottom shelf to fit in the corner of my bathroom next to the radiator. The corner wall adds stability and I also routed wire around the pole and nailed it to the wall so it doesn't move at all when it bounces. The bottom shelf is for expanding the jump point. I need to fix this to make it look better. The longer platform is better for jumping and jumping. I live in a one bedroom apartment and I don't want this in my bedroom or living room. Also, I now have a room to lock the cat in if needed, and it has a window and a place to sit in case I have renovations etc. or have visitors. Or fire inspections, etc. Anyway, very nice. My cat is a 1 year old Burmese so she is too small to shred this. Let's see how it is worn, but very well. I would suggest an angle is better as it gives good stability, or if on a wall it's good to attach the center to the wall with wire or rope. The top spring fixes it well, but the middle one can bounce off the springboard when the cat jumps off. This will infuriate most cats as they will know you have not secured the furniture and if it moves at all the cat will know it is unsafe and will not pounce on it. So do your part. It takes 5 minutes to assemble all the parts in order. Then attach the spring part to the ceiling with a small ladder. But then you'll need some wire or rope to wrap around the center post and screw THIS to the wall. If you have one or more large cats, consider doing so on both shelves. My cat is small so I fixed her to the wall just below the top shelf with a nail and some wire. I moved the ends of the wire inside. Definitely great stuff. When it wears out I plan to buy the rest of the rug and have it repaired. The poles can also be wrapped with sisal rope. In any case, the basics are there. That thing is hard to break. You can rewind with a rope and easily replace carpeted shelves. Judging by my photos, the cat likes it. To stand on this thing, the cat has to use its claws. It's good. It's good exercise, fun, and maybe the cat is scratching it and hasn't touched my leather sofa yet.
