I love the look and geometry of this new Wake handlebar stem. I paired it with a wake handlebar and the overall feel of the bike has greatly improved. The new stem brought the handlebar a bit closer which makes the bike feel more agile and easy to turn. This stem was also a lot lighter than the stock big box steel part it replaced, which has improved the feel of the bike. This is very study and will definitely hold some handlebars down which is why I bought it. BUT i was wrong with the setup of how it is and wont fit my beach cruiser which is probably entirely my fault anyways. Wow,what a difference those 10 mm or so makes in handling and comfort/position, went on with ease practical installed it self,instead of a adding a stem spacer I just cut of a little bit of the fork tube with a pipe cutter,I can not find anything wrong this stem,all alloy metals break at some point,I bet this one would stand up to some heavy dirt jumping, all bolts are 4 mm and you will need the larger than normal bar diameter 38 I think, they make spacer, so if you're wondering about my duck…

Grave value great look The only reason why I gave this a 4 star review was because when it came in the mail I had a good size chip on the top and the fact that the hole for my handlebars were too big definitely not a standard size hole for a standard size mountain handlebar I had to order a handlebar Shim to fix the issue

Purchased this stem for my son’s MTB. Overall I’m pleased with the purchase, timely delivery, and the product itself. The one downside I did find was that this is a shorter stack height than many other similar stems. I’ve found most stems to be 40-50mm for a stack height on the steer tube where this one is only 30mm. If you plan on purchasing this make sure you either want to cut your steer tube down or have a 10mm spacer handy. Other than that the product is great. Light-weight. Great color…

So it is a bit of a mixed bag, ultimately it didn't work for me. I did a bike build and wanted to experiment with stem lengths to find the right cockpit.Anodization is nice quality and blingy, doesn't appear to scratch easily. Mixed bag of opinions on this one. I have had two, one on my trail bike and one on my XC, for over a year. Pressure from other riders convinced me to replace them, "or I'll DIE". So I swapped them for truvativ stems and the Wake stems now live on my girlfriend's XC and the spare XC we loan out to friends. I can't believe how far ahead Asian bike industry is today. Incredibly good stem for the money, Was skeptical , based on the great price. This stem is as good as it could be. Sure it's not 'zero gap' design , but it works just fine, it is lite, stiff and reminds me Funn brand. Took it straight to Keystone Colorado and it performed flawlessly. 10 years ago stem this good could have being 6 times more expensive. May be I scored good batch, may be not. Installed this stem on my XC mountain bike to give it a little more of a trail bike feel. Didn't notice any negative effects of the shorter stem (steering didn't feel twitchy) and was able to control the bike better and get a little more air on the jumps. Definitely recommend this product for quality and lightweight aspects. And you can't beat a $10 stem and a matching set of $20 wide WAKE bars to make your older XC bike way more fun to ride!

Bought for my gt aggressor pro, I didn’t like how long the stock stem was. Wanted the handle bars a bit closer, this stem did the job ALTHOUGH just to be safe I would order some spacers as well. I learned the hard way by ordering none with it and my stock spacers didn’t measure up so had to order some. Color is dope too it matches the colorway of my bike

Great stem for the price. Didnt have any issues installing on my 2019 Giant Teance 3. Was a bit longer than I anticipated but brought the bars back a couple inches and kept me more over the rear wheel at Snowshoe.Yes its durable. I'm 220 lbs and rode down Skyline (the jump trail) like a bat outtake hell for three laps and did some tech stuff too and it lasted just fine

I forgot to measure my bars before buying this and it didn’t end well. When the stem arrived, I attempted to install it only to find it was way to big for my bars. NOTE TO ALL READERS: Measure your bars before buying this or any other stem. If you’re buying a new set of bars with the new stem, be sure that the dimensions are correct so you don’t end up with the same problem I did. I will add a more full review once I have ordered new bars and used them with the stem.

These stems are a great way to get a quality, alloy stem for an awesome price. Perfect for an everyday rider or someone who rides more aggressively. Now, I don’t know if you want to do hardcore downhill with these, but for most people, they are perfect!

Bought three of these and two out of the three the Allen bolts stripped out when tightening them up.I used to park tool allen wrench and the proper tool it's the bolts that are cheap

Seeing other comments about the screws stripping I used the factory ones that came with my bike. Second one went a lot faster for me to install after learning to keep the fork tight against head tube. I thought I got them right enough around the fork but took a pretty good fall and it twisted a little so my wheel was not inline with my handle bars. This stem is solid and equivalent to other stem costing triple and more. Really helps improve ride comfort by bringing you to a more upright position.

Be advised that the clamping diameter is large and may require use of shims with many handlebars. I should have measured. Easy fix if you buy shims but I probably would have bought something else. Works well and looks good otherwise.

I have given this stem years of abuse plowing rock gardens and sending drops and it still is shred worthy Thanks for attention!
