This stand raises the laptop screen approximately 7 inches off the tabletop and the front of the keyboard approximately 4 inches. This places the screen in a comfortable viewing position and is perfectly centered between my external monitors. My Dockblock and external keyboard fit snugly underneath, freeing up the desktop when not in use. It was just what I needed!
